Terms and Conditions for Issuance and Use of the Virtual Card

1 - A Virtual card is a prepaid card issued by MasterCard International, which allows the customer to complete payments exclusively for online goods and services; This card cannot be used for other operations such as cash withdrawals from ATMs, POS, or receive any collections.

2 -The customer confirms the accurate of the information typed in the Virtual card application, including the e-mail address and the mobile number those the bank will use to send the card data and operational notifications therethrough, The customer bears full responsibility about the received card data.

3 -The Bank is not responsible at all for any damages that may arise from failure to accept, complete, or suspend a purchase order from any site as a result of the site’s policy, any emergency malfunction that occurred during the execution of the transaction, a weakness in the Internet, any technical reason, insufficient amounts available on the card, or for any another reason.

4 -The customer must not use the card for any purposes other than those for which it is authorized for any reason, and the customer alone bears all obligations and responsibilities resulting from that.

5 -The customer has not right to apply for any objection for any submitted transactions executed using the card, and the bank does not bear any responsibility resulting from a dispute that occurs between the customer and the merchant/website, whatever the reasons were. The customer must communicate with the merchant/website himself and resolve any problem that occurs due to this dispute through the available communication channels.

6 -The customer acknowledges that he is fully responsible for all obligations resulting from his use of the card, including any pending balances. These pending balances on the card - as long as they exist - are considered an integral part of the customer’s obligations, without any responsibility on the issuing party.

7 -When the customer receives the card’s data, he bears full responsibility to maintain and save them properly and doesn’t share such date with other parties. Accordingly, he shall be held solely responsible for any results of any event deducted amounts from the card. Thus, he/she is obliged to pay all operations carried out through his card.

8 -The customer is not entitled to refer to the bank for any claim or compensation as a result of the deducted amounts from his cards, and the bank is not obliged to pay any compensation to the customer or any other party in the event that the service is discontinued or inadequate to the customer's needs, including the refusal of any website to accept the card according to its policies.

9 -The validity period of the Virtual card is fixed and not renewable, so when the validity period expired, the customer must apply for a new card.

10 -The available balance of the card should be used or transferred to the customer’s new card before the card expiration in order to avoid deducting any monthly commissions on the dormant accounts by the service provider.

11 -The customer can transfer the available balance on the previous or expired card to the new card provided that both cards are for the same customer, noting that the bank is not obliged to return any balance to the customer in case the card is expired and the customer desire to cancel it.

12 -The customer agrees to authorize the bank to deduct all service fees and the bank has the right to change such fees as the bank deems appropriate or according the policy of service providing.

13 -The customer must notify the bank if notifications of operations are not received.

14 -The above terms and conditions shall be considered an integral part of the terms and conditions of the agreement on opening the account signed by the customer. Everything which is not provided in these terms and conditions shall be subjected to the provisions of the laws and provisions of the Republic of Yemen.

15 -The bank reserves the right at all times to make any amendment to these terms and conditions, and this will be reported through the bank's branches or via the bank's related social media.

16 -The customer agrees that the bank has the right to disclose any information concerning the account or the card to the official and legal authorities if requested to do so.

17 -The Bank has the right to cancel the card at any time or when the customer violates the above terms and conditions or any laws in force including the Law and Instructions of Anti Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing.

18 -The customer hereby acknowledges the acquisition of a virtual card from the Shamil Bank of Yemen & Bahrain for the purpose of covering his electronic payments via the Internet and undertakes to provide the official authorities and the bank with all supported documents requested without any delay, however, in the event that the required documents are not brought or delayed within the specified time period, the customer is held fully liable towards the official authorities, and the bank.

19. The customer acknowledges that he has read and understood the terms and conditions stated above. He is committed to follow them, satisfied and agreeable to them and has no objection to any of them.
