Conclusion Of The Training Program For Western Union Operations And Raised Awareness About The Risks Of Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing And Fraud

The training program on raising awareness of the risks of money laundering, terrorist financing and fraud, Western Union Operations and the tasks assigned to frontline staff to provide service, organized by the Shamil Bank of Yemen & Bahrain, was concluded today in Sana'a. The training course aimed at providing 40 trainees of the SBYB agents' staff in a number of exchange companies and Al-Amal Bank with the skills and knowledge to carry out their various roles towards raising awareness of the risks of money laundering, terrorist financing and fraud, as well as what related to Western Union operations and the tasks assigned to frontline staff to provide the service. The training program lasted for three (3) days, in which two training courses were presented, the first course entitled (Raising Awareness of the Risks of Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Fraud), presented by Mr. Hani Abdul-Muttalib, Deputy Director of the Compliance Department in the Bank, and the second course entitled (Western Union Operations and the tasks assigned to front-line staff to provide the service, provided by Mr. Ameen Mohammed Al-Raimi, who has explained that the bank aims, through the training program, to raise awareness of the risks of money laundering, terrorist financing and fraud, and to enable the participants to acquire skills and knowledge about Western Union operations enabling them to provide the service and perform the tasks entrusted to them efficiently and competently
